Security for operational technology.
VixSiren protects the operational technology of power plants and substations: field devices, protection and control equipment, and the supervisory systems that operate them.
The platform
- Detects manipulated readings and unjustified commands, whether they originate from an external attacker, a compromised device or an insider.
- Holds the plant in its correct state and refuses the influence of an attack in real time.
- Distinguishes an equipment fault from a deliberate attack, so the right team is called.
- Records every decision with a clear explanation for operators, auditors and regulators.
- Calibrates to each plant’s own normal operation, from small distribution substations to transmission and generation sites.
- Works with the industrial protocols and systems a plant already runs, and can operate fully offline.
The platform is designed in alignment with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NERC CIP and the ERC Kenya Grid Code. It is not yet certified.
